About Henrys of Derby, Henry Januszewski, the Award Winning Children's Photographer.

Henry and Elaine have been running Henrys of Derby photography successfully since 1987. In that time Henry has won numerous local and national awards. These have been in babies, children under 5, family and pets categories to name a few.

When contacting us and making enquiries, Elaine will usually answer the 'phone. If there is no answer, please leave a message as we may both be busy. Elaine may be with a client viewing their work, or Henry may be working in the studio creating tomorrows memories today.

With the event of digital photography, Henry took to it in 2006. Since the introduction of digital into his studio. Henry says "I wanted to be able to change over as smoothly as possible. We chose Fuji for our digital cameras, as they had software in them that replicated the film we used. This made the changeover painless."

Henry uses the latest state of the art printer for his portrait work. The inks are more archival than a traditional chemical print, thus increasing the longevity and pleasure of his clients portraits for many generations to come.

Besides photography, Henry’s other passion is motorcycle racing and he has taken part in the Manx Grand Prix’ on the famous Isle of Man TT circuit. Unfortunately, due to a flourishing business, Henry doesn’t have much time for motorcycle racing these days, much to the benefit of his photographic clients. He would chat about his successes on a bike for hours... if Elaine would let him!
